Smoky Eyes For Dummies
1. Line Lids – With a sharpened, soft black pencil, start at the inner corners of the upper lashes, and draw small, diagonal downward strokes. Rub a clean Q-tip or sponge-tip applicator over the liner, smudging it halfway up the lids. Then, with short strokes, draw liner just at the outer edges of the lower lashes and smudge slightly.
2. Add Shadow – With your ring finger, apply a cream shadow in pale silver or metallic grey over the lids and up to the brow bone. Smudge it about an eighth inch toward the temples. Brush a slightly darker gray or silver powder shadow over that, blending it so it fades right above the crease.
3. Define Eyes – Curl the top lashes and coat them with a few layers of black mascara. Keep the rest of your makeup light, but not ghostly, by smoothing on a berry or nude lipstick and a faint pink or rose blush.
