TREND ALERT: Future Warrior

This fierce, sexy look is an evolution of the military trend and is one of my favourite trends this season.

Essentially it’s a melange of tribal and military fashions, enhanced with a futuristic look. The ancient times of Pharaohs and hidden kingdoms have inspired those of the fashion world, but with an inter-galactic twist. Popular fashion labels such as Balmain, Sass & Bide and Balenciaga are just some to embrace the future warrior trend.

Though this may be a slightly complex trend, it isn't the type that has a whole heap of rules. It's open to your own interpretation and experimentation. It's not to be taken literally either, and works best when an outfit gives the impression of subtle fierceness rather than the overkill look of a Broadway costume gone wrong!

If you don't want to go all out warrior, just adding accessories like gladiator sandals and tribal jewellery can give your outfit a bit of a future warrior edge.

According to fashionunits.blogspot.com, try to "mix ultra-feminine with tough [warrior]. For example soft, flowing fabric against sharp metal plating or studded straps”... boom bang, and you're fabulous!!
