The Fringe Fashion Nightmare
I'm sorry but if it's one trend that I would LOVE to see disappear is the fringe. Can we say HIDEOUS?!!

World renowned designers such as Alexander McQueen, Jil Sander and Alberta Ferretti have used the fringe in their Spring/Summer 2009 lines.
Popular fashion site, fashionising.com has reported on how you should wear it. Stating, "It depends largely upon the style and themeing of the piece. A pair of long, toned legs work wonders for a short fringed skirt; those lacking need to be a tad more cautious. The appeal of fringing also owes alot to the way it moves, so pay careful attention to buying quality fabrics that shimmy and shine and don't clump unattractively together."
However, in my opinion, no matter how one tries to pull off this burgeoning trend, it can't be done. This look is destined to make fashion followers look like clones of each other, or Cousin It (from Adams Family, for those who may not be aware). Granted that it can be interpreted in many different ways. However, I swear, it’s like as soon as someone says that anything is the hottest thing out, EVERYONE flocks to be a part of the ‘hip’ crowd. My goodness! Now THAT is a cry for help in the individuality department!
Many fashion sites have compared the trend to Cousin It, the cow girl look & the cast of ‘That 70’s Show’. Even celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Emmy Rossum been caught donning this ‘trend’.
But why would anyone want to be compared to Cousin It or ‘That 70s Show’??? And let’s not get started on how unflattering it is for ‘non-zeros’. You’d just look like a huge ball of ripped-up strings! HAHAHA!
WAIT!!! I stand corrected, NOT!!

Rachel Bilson wearing a fringe dress.
Movie star Rachel Bilson (no longer a zero) was caught wearing a shredded-like creation. I'm not sure if it was a western inspired theme or if it's just a poncho gone wrong, but this type of style just isn't working people. Why can't you all see it? Loving the Christian Louboutin pumps though Rachel. At least you've got taste in shoes.

There are even fringed accessories, for example (clockwise from left) the Cleobella Kyler Fringe Bag and the Melie Bianco Double Fringe Hobo, Sam Edelman Ursula Boots and the purple Fringe Pumps (which actually do not look that bad).
