1. Wash your face with a cleanser to make sure your skin is free of dirt, oil and make-up and then lightly pat it dry.
2. Drop four chamomile tea bags into a pot of water and set it to boil. Apply an exfoliating scrub to your face.
3. Once the water is boiling, remove the pot from the stove. Hold your face high above it, close your eyes, and create a tent over your head with a towel. After about 5 minutes, rinse the exfoliant off your skin with warm water, and pat dry.
4. Apply a face mask that is appropriate for your skin type – one with clay for oily skin, sulphur for acne-prone skin, hyaluronic acid or glycerin for dry skin, or antioxidants for normal or combination skin.
5. Wait for the mask to dry then rinse it off thoroughly, and blot with a towel.
6. While skin is still damp, rub on a thin layer of moisturiser that suits your skin type - a thick, creamy formula for dry skin and oil free for oily and combination skin. It is advisable to wait 6 to 8 hours before applying make-up.
