Tips For Damaged Hair
THE PROBLEM: Hair dries faster than it used to. If medium to thick hair takes less than an hour to air-dry, it’s in trouble. Avoid the blow-dryer and flat iron as often as possible
THE PROBLEM: Hair lacks elasticity. Pluck one hair and stretch it. If it doesn’t spring back, hair could break if it’s subjected to chemicals or heat.
THE PROBLEM: Hair is lighter at the ends. What you’re seeing is the medulla, the inner core of the hair. The only re-course is cutting off the ends.
THE PROBLEM: Hair snaps. If your hair breaks mid-strand, that’s the final straw. Show your stylist the damage. And be prepared to be told you need a break from serious pruning and a break from chemical processing.
