Torn Between Three Guys
Dear Lisa Love,
There's this guy, Chris, who I like and his best friend told my best friend's boyfriend (who's also my friend) that he likes me too. But I don't know if it's true. There's a big fete coming up on campus and I heard that he's going to ask me to go to it with him. I don't know what to tell him if he asks me.
There's also this other guy, Steve, from my church who I'm kinda having a fling with. He's my "friend with benefits", nothing serious. But I like him a lot and sometimes I want something more than a fling. I just don't know if he would see it the way I do.
Then there's another guy (don't worry, the last one), Shane, who lives by me. We've known each other for years and we kissed once when I was about fifteen and I still like him. Once, when we were hanging out he implied that he liked me but I don't know if he was joking or not. To make things worse, he's good friends with Steve and I don't know if he knows about us fooling around. If he ever did it might break his heart and I really wouldn't want to do that. I care about all of these guys and the walls are closing in on me and I don't know which one of them I should be with. I know you can't tell me who to pick or who not to pick but I was hoping you could help me out.

Dear Claire,
You do have to make that decision on your own. However, take this little piece of advise: don't lead on anyone if you don't have any intentions of dealing with them, and you definitely don't want to start going out with any of those guys until you make your final decision. A lot of people could get hurt, yourself included.

P.S. You are already sexually involved with one of these men; do NOT have sex with anybody else until after you've chosen who you want to date and use a condom every time. It would be unwise to have unprotected sex, especially with multiple partners.
