Is My Boyfriend Gay?

Dear Lisa Love,

How can you tell if your man is gay or bisexual? I love my boyfriend but I sometimes wonder about him. Nearly all of his friends are gay, he wants to be a make-up artist and I'm the only girl he's been with, even though he's going to be 20 in a few months.

My friend even told me my boyfriend once kissed a guy “as a dare” but I think my friend has a crush on me so he wouldn't be the most reliable source.

I know all of this is cliché stuff but I don't know what to think. I don't want to ignore the signs and end up looking like a fool but I don't want to miss out on true love either because I was paranoid.

Should I come out and ask him?

Dear Brianna,

Listen to your instincts. The fact that you have doubts should indicate something. There seems to be more than one questionable signal that he may be at least “bi-curious”.
I wouldn't ask about the kiss because who's to say he would be honest with you. If he has questions about his own sexuality he probably wouldn't feel comfortable admitting this to his girlfriend.

When in doubt stay out.
