Should I Go For It With This Guy?

Dear Lisa Love,

I think I'm falling for a boy in my class. He's not really my type but we've been getting close lately and I really like his personality. He has had an on again, off again thing going on with another girl at school for the past two years. I'm not sure what their status is now but I think I like him.

Is it possible to really like someone you're not attracted to? Do you think I should go for it? I really like hanging out with him but I don't know if I would get physical with him. Should I stay away because of the whole drama with the other girl? What should I do?

Dear Debbie,

I really don't think that would be a good idea. If I were you I would leave him alone. Even if he and his girlfriend are going through an off period, you would most likely be a rebound. And they obviously have unresolved feelings. Do you want to get in the middle of that? You would be selling yourself short. You're not even attracted to him.

If you really like his company, just be friends nothing more. And if you don't think you can be friends without wanting more, keep your distance.
