It wasn’t love at first physical sight
I was love at first in-sight
When you showed me who you are inside
When you brought me into your world
And accepted mine,
That’s when I fell in love with you
It wasn’t the sexy lips
Nice smile or any physical trait
Although they are a sight to behold
It was me, getting to know you
And you getting to know me
And finding that compatibility
Which created a sure bond
That’s what made me fall in love with you
It was your kind words
Your acceptance of me
Your release of your mask
To show me how strong, smart and caring you can be
These things, when I gained a working knowledge of you
These things are what triggered that overwhelming feeling
Of wanting to protect you, care for you
That’s when I fell in love with you
