2011 was full of highs – Bridgetown and the Garrison were declared World Heritage sites by UNESCO, Rihanna had her biggest concert in Barbados yet – and lows – Vybz Kartel got charged for murder, Trinidad and Tobago was in a state of emergency, and people still struggle with unemployment worldwide.
Vybz Kartel A Murderer?
Investigators from the Major Investigation Taskforce (MIT) this evening charged Jamaican dancehall deejay Vybz Kartel with murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of firearm.
A news release from the police said that the charges against the deejay, whose real name is Adijah Palmer, were made following the conduct of an interview this afternoon by detectives from the MIT in the presence of his attorneys.

Kurama Magazine's Model Search had an amazing response both from participants and fans who voted for the finalists. After a couple of weeks of the fans choosing from 11 contestants, it came down to 6 finalists - female models Janelle Bruce, Chyrstal-Ann Rupnarain and Aishatu Adams, and male models Daniel Evelyn, Christian Leach and Rinaldo Nirianjan.
