Love At First In-sight
Love At First In-sight
It wasn’t love at first physical sight
I was love at first in-sight
When you showed me who you are inside
When you brought me into your world
And accepted mine,
That’s when I fell in love with you
It wasn’t the sexy lips
Nice smile or any physical trait
Although they are a sight to behold
It was me, getting to know you
And you getting to know me
And finding that compatibility
Which created a sure bond
That’s what made me fall in love with you
It was your kind words
Your acceptance of me
Your release of your mask
Page As Refuge
Page As Refuge
Uninspired yet again,
But somehow drawn to write
To inscribe upon this page my inner thoughts
Shall I converse with page?
The ever silent recipient of words, meanings, thoughts
Never once offering solace in words
But provides sanctuary in the act of receiving
In the lack of ridicule and scorn
It offers peace of mind and serenity
It is never torn down by the weight of thoughts
If ever it feels the burden of my pain
Silently it echoes reassurance of strength
Some Days
Some Days
Some days,
Life is stressful,
Everything that could go wrong does go wrong
Every thing you wish would never happen does happen
Everything is happening too quickly to calculate the outcomes
And you are left to pick up all the pieces
You are left to make everything better
On those days, what do you do?
Well on those days I stop, think and listen
I stop all the panicking, all the crying, and all the anger
All of the why me’s and the why nows
They stop
I think about what I can do, why this isn’t so bad
Poetry And Song
Poetry And Song
Poetry comes from my pain my sadness
My happiness my joy
Song comes from the love in my heart
And I’m always singing for you
Poetry reads telling tales of my thoughts
Questions unanswered puzzles to solve
Songs are written predetermined
But fit the situation
Poetry calms me when nothing else will
When nothing can set my mind free
Songs elate me sooth me console me
Keep me smiling when nothing else will
Poetry speaks volumes and shelves
Speaks of things not easily said
Songs move mountains and oceans
